Beets Rice Cereal

Eleanor's Beet-iful smile

Eleanor delved into the exciting world of beets today! She's been acting very interested in our food lately, so we've decided it's time to offer her more foods. After initially performing a customary gag that she reserves for new foods, she the beets with glee.

We started out in one of Louise's whole-torso bibs, but after that was covered in bright red, we went for the plain old diaper feeding. Eleanor very much enjoyed the feeling of squished beets between her toes and I enjoyed giving my pink baby a very thorough bath after dinner time was done.

You should have seen her after she really started eating.

Dave also reported that Eleanor spent an hour today (while I was at work), eating a banana. Banana eating has now become their thing. I call it banana bonding.

YUM!

Eleanor is still sleeping through the night! For the first time in 6 months, I finally feel like I can think coherently. And I'm finally having complete dreams. My first complete dream was of Eleanor and I shopping at a real Target store. If only we had one nearby. . .

Our little sweetie does tummy time

Last night she slept from 7 p.m.-6 a.m. which was so nice since I had my first big critique of the semester today. She is still however, not convinced that naps are all that necessary.

Baby on the bed!
