In the Wilderness, Among Friends
"Hike," says Eleanor.
Clarkson's fall break was over this past weekend. We decided to take advantage of our remaining fall days and see some sights. First we went on a short hike on Higgley Flow, and then we embarked on a trip down to see some of our very best friends, Sarah and Andy in Montague, MA.
The most precious back pack contents.

Just like The Mole Sisters, Eleanor moves a piece of moss. Mommy's friend Caitlin gave Eleanor one of her favorite books:

Hi from MassMOCA!
"Art," says Eleanor
Eleanor's skinny jeans go into overdrive
Taking time to appreciate the stark minimal beauty of the MassMOCA restroom.
Eleanor assumes she's at another art museum, but no! Sarah and Andy's house is just that beautiful.

At the Clark Institute, Eleanor marvels at the human chandelier
We saw SO many of Mommy's favorite painters. . .Bouguereau, Sargent, Cassat, Manet, Bonnard, Alma Tadema. We even saw some nice Remingtons.
Eleanor says (just like Rachel), "SCULPTURE."
We decided to join the conversation in Juan Munoz's 'happy room.'
Then, we went to an art museum just for Eleanor: The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art! Sarah really got into the work.

We all got to watch a painting demo and then make our own gouache art
Eleanor was really into black. Uh oh.
Eleanor and her assistant consider their next move.
Sarah and Andy brought us to their farm share fields. We got to eat LOTS of cherry tomatoes right off the vine. Eleanor probably had over 50 in one afternoon. No joke.
At the hotel, Eleanor found time for a little workout.
On the way home, Eleanor took a shopping pitstop at the Mall in Burlington (don't worry, Eleanor only wears faux bunny).

Adventures with Grammy and Papa!
Grammy, Papa and their little granbaby girl at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY.
We were so lucky to get a visit from Eleanor's Grammy and Papa this weekend. They came specially to see Dave's art opening at SUNY Potsdam's Gibson Gallery on Thursday night, but we also found time to do some kid friendly exploring around upstate NY.
On Friday we visited Eleanor's daycare in Potsdam, and The Wild Center in Tupper Lake. On Saturday we went all the way down to Sackets Harbor and visited Old McDonald's farm!
