Happy Easter!

HAPPY EASTER!

This Easter Eleanor had a great time dying eggs, attending church in her ball gown, and of course hunting for Easter goodies!

All set for church with daddy, wearing her cousin Alex's beautiful dress jacket

Time to inspect the spring flowers outside First Presbyterian!

A smile to match the sunny day

Whew! That was a long service, but Eleanor made it through..

Lunch, a quick power nap and now it's time to see what the Easter Bunny delivered...

Hmmmm... Where are those eggs?

 First egg found!

She spots some more!

The Easter Bunny delivered Auntie Molly's basket all the way from London!

Daddy helps collect the loot.

Is that all?

Nope! The Easter bunny delivered something special from Grammy and Papa!

Time to reflect

Eleanor wants to go swimming, but we told her to wait a month or so.... and perhaps use the pool.

Last basket found!

"Chocolate," Says Eleanor.

"No, no, Monie. Is mines."

Kissy lips

"Is chocolate.... One more."

Luckily, the Easter Bunny mostly delivered Goldfish crackers and raisins... and mommy helped take care of any excess chocolate.

Eleanor's Latest

At First Crush, inspecting the sugar

The other day I was in the process of putting a purple colored tutu on Eleanor. "I be peacock," She pronounced gleefully. Our little darling is getting more verbal and expressive every day! Here are a few of her most recent pictures.

Where can we find a slide like this?

Oh! Here's another slide in Canton.

Eleanor's Bedside Chat

Eleanor was in a chatty mood tonight as I rocked her before bed.

"Make my face." She said, looking up at me in the dark.

"Do you mean you want to draw your face with crayons?" I asked.

"No. Make my face." She insisted. I paused, unsure if what she meant, and then she pushed her nose up with a finger and stuck out her tongue.

"You mean you're making a face."

"Yeah," Says Eleanor.
_____

"Scared," Says Eleanor.

"What are you scared of? Is it a person?" ( Thinking of a friend at daycare who frightens her).

"Bears," Says Eleanor.

I assured her that she was quite safe from bears.

"Yeah, funny bears," decides Eleanor, "Goofy."

Eleanor's Big Read

Eleanor has always loved books. She reads by herself in her crib in the morning. She reads with mom, she reads with her dolls, and she reads with dad throughout the day. She reads lots and lots of books with mom before bed, but tonight, Eleanor decided to have a big, big read all by herself. As of publish time, Eleanor is still reading. She's been reading since 5:45 this evening and that means she's been reading for over 1 full hour all by herself.
