Lazy Day Photo shoot

We had a wonderfully relaxing day on Friday. I made baked macaroni and cheese, my grandma's brownies, and made apple sauce on the stove. And after we finished all that, Eleanor and I wanted nothing more than to loll around and take pictures! It was a perfect fall day.

Eleanor takes Madison

Eleanor's first flight- no tears!

I'm orry for the lack of blog entries these last few weeks. We were in Madison, WI last week for Dave's art show at the Overture Center. I'm still getting caught up on school work and laundry, but I couldn't let another day go by without sharing some pictures of our wonderful adventure.

Eleanor meets Kai Bruya Walker (6 mo.) Our good friends Rachel and Tate are parents to this adorable little boy!

These two definitely recognize a camera (Rachel is an amazing photographer- check out Kai's blog: kai-walker.blogspot.com)

Fashion-Forward Fall

We call this outfit 'The Babushka'

The colder weather has brought about a change in Eleanor's clothing. It's been fun to dress her in her new toasty-warm fall fashions.

Eleanor still fits in this snuggly thing from her infancy... and since she grows like a weed, this depressingly proves how short our summers are in Northern NY.

For our indoor "flash-dance" aerobics session.

'Pretty in pink,' or 'Eleanor succumbs to the legging trend'

Cashmere? Of course! Eleanor's hat is made out of my old sweaters and her sweater is from the Potsdam thrift store - if you can believe it?!

Fall Colors, Starbucks, Baby Gap: A Visit to Lake Placid

Lake Placid, NY

This Saturday Dave took a break from the grind, and we went down to Lake Placid with our friend Stephen. The drive was breathtaking! During the hour and a half trip, we wove through mile after mile of yellow and orange splendor, and Eleanor slept the entire way! Once we were in Lake Placid, we had a wonderful lunch at the Brewery where we ran into our friends Alexia and Daren! We also visited the Starbucks (hooray!) and the Baby Gap outlet (Eleanor came home two dresses richer).

It's Time to Lock up the China!

Big girl Eleanor 'teethes' on a cold carrot

Today while I was throwing together dinner, Eleanor scooted backward from her blanket in the middle of the living room floor to the scratching post against the wall. She moved an entire 2 feet all on her own! I'd placed her on her tummy in front of some toys and when I glanced at her moments later, she was half-way across the floor. Dave and I are reacting with a mixture of excitement and terror... Our baby will soon be very much ON THE MOVE!

There is a chill in the air in Potsdam! Eleanor is staying warm in long sleeves, thick tights and layers, and of course by 'boogie'n down!

Finally, I just had to include this fabulous photo of my grandparents with a tiny Aunt Marilynn and baby Cheryl (my mom). See any resemblances?
